Detritus

The title 「Detritus」 was inspired by Anne Murray. Our life, memory, experience, etc. are all fragments in the whole universe. We collect all these little piece of fragments together and exhibit them through this exhibition. Our collection and exhibition is not showing how it matters to us, but we want them not being easily ignored by you guys. Though it may be small, but it still can inspire us in its specific way.

Anne Murray is such an inspired photographer that she is a writer, reporter and art teacher as well. You can appreciate her work “Everything Break Down”, “Times Change” and “Flames of Socrates” through all the ways and make a sense. She balances the people, things, lights and shadow inside the lens and make their relationships look so match and philosophic.

Jenny Gu is an Australian independent curator and artist. The series “Shanghai, Shanghai” is a virtual story but with real characters and incidents. Metro is not only a transportation which collects information and reflects the society, but also a place which carries dream. Jenny directs the story through this way to express the gap between the strangers’ heart will not shorten while the distance is cut down.

Massimo Fusaro is a professional photographer. The artist emerges us an invisible tunnel to feel the emotion. It is about the rational and irrational favor of human beings, and it is about why we prefer this element compared with another. Through this emotion, we feel really aggressive when we look at the things, touch them or recognize their scent. To Massimo Fusaro, the key element is the rust “2Fe3O4”.
